Watch buying advices

A small history of watches and a few advices for purchasing the perfect watch. Autavia Isograph, 42mm brushed and polished stainless steel case, dark brown calfskin strap. The Autavia has made brief appearances in Tag Heuer’s collection since it was officially discontinued in 1985, making more headlines as a collector curio than a novelty. The welcome return this year of the watch whose name is a portmanteau of “automotive” and “aviation” comes with the promise of lots of options, including a bronze-cased version, and a high-performance movement. The secret here is in the “Isograph” delineation, which points to the advanced engineering of the movement’s most delicate and important part: its hairspring. The Autavia’s is new and engineered from carbon-composite, a material that brings the benefits of anti-magnetism, resistance to gravity and shocks, and increased precision. In practice, that should make for a more reliable, more durable, and better watch.

Let’s move on to the under 1000 USD category. Cases made from solid titanium — loved for its lightweight, durable and hypoallergenic properties — are not such a common site on sub-$150 watches, which is what makes the young U.S. watch brand Bertucci an enticing option. Similarly enticing is the classic field watch dial design, the Japanese quartz movement inside, and a 100-meter depth rating. You’d be forgiven for thinking Citizen’s entire lineup is made up of its quartz Eco-Drive watches, but the brand does, in fact, make some mechanicals. The NH8350, for instance, packs a Miyota 8200 automatic movement into a clean-cut stainless steel case and comes adorned with a shimmering, sunray blue dial. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better mechanical dress watch for less.

Certina, founded in Grenchen, Switzerland in 1888, has always been a rather low-key brand. You may not know, but they were innovators in shock protection and water resistance, which is nearly weapons-grade on this watch. The rotating ceramic diving bezel on this 41mm beauty, usually a hallmark of much more expensive pieces, is scratch resistant and nearly indestructible, and the handsome strap features a deployment clasp. Shinola watches, assembled in Detroit, have sparked a renaissance in the Motor City and for American watch brands in general. One of their latest editions of their most popular design, the Runwell, is a subtle version of what can be a busy style. This is destined to become a classic design that will no doubt age well with it’s stainless steel case and durable leather strap. With a clean ivory-colored face and luminous hands, wearing this watch makes a statement that you value good design, but don’t need an overly expensive timepiece to speak for you.

Financial guides

Best advices for how to multiply your money. It’s a basic rule of investing that to improve your chance of a better return you have to accept more risk. But you can manage and improve the balance between risk and return by spreading your money across different investment types and sectors whose prices don’t necessarily move in the same direction – this is called diversifying. It can help you smooth out the returns while still achieving growth, and reduce the overall risk in your portfolio.

While large short-term profits can often entice market neophytes, long-term investing is essential to greater success. And while active trading short-term trading can make money, this involves greater risk than buy-and-hold strategies. Many great companies are household names, but many good investments lack brand awareness. Furthermore, thousands of smaller companies have the potential to become the blue-chip names of tomorrow. In fact, small-caps stocks have historically shown greater returns than their large-cap counterparts. From 1926 to 2001, small-cap stocks in the U.S. returned an average of 12.27% while the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index (S&P 500) returned 10.53%. This is not to suggest that you should devote your entire portfolio to small-cap stocks. But there are many great companies beyond those in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA).

The answer is by buying an index fund. Index funds are the best friend of the passive investor who want an easy way to invest in the market. An index fund is a type of fund with a portfolio constructed to track a certain index. Index funds can track the return of the S&P 500, Dow Jones, or NASDAQ. Index funds can either be exchange traded funds or mutual funds that hold securities in a given market. A S&P 500 index fund will buy shares of the 500 largest companies in the United States and will track the movements of the Standard and Poor’s 500 index. This fund will replicate the performance of the S&P 500 index. If the S&P 500 index is up 10 percent for the year then a fund like the Vanguard S&P 500 index or the iShares S&P 500 index should be up approximately 10 percent as well. If you’re on a tight budget, even the simple step of enrolling in your 401(k) or other employer retirement plan may seem beyond your reach. But there is a way that you can begin investing in an employer-sponsored retirement plan with amounts that are so small you won’t even notice them. For example, plan to invest just 1 percent of your salary into the employer plan. You probably won’t even miss a contribution that small, but what makes it even easier is that the tax deduction that you’ll get for doing so will make the contribution even smaller. Once you commit to a 1 percent contribution, you can increase it gradually each year. For example, in year two, you can increase your contribution to 2 percent of your pay. In year three, you can increase your contribution to 3 percent of your pay, and so on.

One of the best investment tips from Warren Buffett is to not put too much stock (no pun intended) into each and every news headline that you see. Buffett believes in the 99-1 rule. Most investors take actions based on 1% of the financial news they consume. Doing so, they quickly sell their stocks whenever bad news comes up – e.g. a company’s revenues have fallen by 10%. If the company in this particular example has been in business for, say, 100 years, then Buffett says that it’s definitely capable of withstanding such events. In other words, people often tend to overreact.

How to buy a domain name for your WordPress website

Blogging is something everyone talks about right now, many persons are looking to start a blog. Here are some things you need to know regarding what is a good blog site to start. 1st we talk about free blogging websites and after that we discuss about self hosted blogging solutions.

Firstly, it is important to know how to evaluate the speed of your website. Generally, websites load in 7 seconds on average, but your goal should be less than 3 seconds. This ensures users are satisfied with a snappy website. There are a number of great tools out there for testing website speed, with the best options being GTmetrix and Pingdom. These free-to-use tools provide overall performance scores, page details, and in-depth speed reports. In other words, they are just the sort of tools that help you to determine where to focus your website speed optimization efforts. I usually use GTmetrix for evaluation due to the clear information and clean user interface provided. Just register a free GTMetrix account to access more functionality e.g. different test server region. More on optimize wordpress speed.

WordPress.com is a blog hosting service from the same company, Automattic, that’s behind WordPress.org. It’s free to launch your blog on WordPress.com, but you have to pay for extra features like storage and your own domain name. Like Wix and Weebly, to remove the WordPress.com logo you need to upgrade to a paid plan, which start from $4 a month. WordPress.com works in the same way as drag-and-drop builders. You construct your blog by selecting and moving elements around on your screen WordPress.com must be doing something right as it claims to power 30% of the internet. SEO is one of WordPress.com’s big strengths, with sites loading quickly and backed up by powerful infrastructure. Set up is fast and the platform is straightforward to get to grips with. On the downside, customization opportunities are limited – especially when compared to WordPress.org. You can’t edit the code and you don’t have complete control over your blog.

Describing itself as a “blogging platform designed to help you think”, Svbtle is fairly similar to Medium in approach. Like Medium, it strips everything right back, resulting in a bold, stylish experience that pushes words to the fore. It could easily become your favourite blogging platform for the act of writing, but it again relies on you also wanting something extremely simple and not caring a jot about customisation.

Ghost is an open source blogging platform that provides a simple, clean interface that makes it very easy to use. It also provides a live preview of your post while you are writing it, so you can easily correct any writing or coding mistakes as you go along. This platform can be great for beginners because of its ease of use, but expert bloggers may also prefer it because of its interface compared to other blogging services. The downside to Ghost is that it can be difficult to install at first but once it is, it can be a great tool for any blogger.

There are two main benefits to using a self-hosted format, as opposed to the free version at WordPress.com. Self-hosted blogs have much more freedom when it comes to customizing the look and feel of your website. You can use any template you like and you’ll use your own domain name, for a more professional feel. Self-hosted blogs also allow for advertising, which can help off-set the costs associated with blogging. You can’t run ads on a free blog from WordPress.com, which is why I eventually had to transfer my blog from free hosting to self-hosting. Transferring is such a hassle, I wish I had just started with self-hosting in the first place! If you’ve once decided to have a blog, but have been putting it off because you assumed making a blog will be difficult or time-consuming, you have probably missed the most recent developments. Thanks to current user-friendly tools, it just takes about 15 minutes to build a blog and running it only costs a few dollars a month ($3-4 per month in total) -cheaper than your favorite cup of coffee. (All information in this site is FREE.)

One of the major benefits of WordPress is its great list of free plugins, many of which can be found at the WordPress plugin repo. There are also many premium plugins that are available at varying costs. Technically, as a new blogger wanting to start your blog with minimal investment, you may not need any premium services or plugins. But if you don’t have an investment issue, you can grab some of the premium plugins to help you increase your site’s functionality (like boosting your on-page SEO optimization).

Coffee shop online

Let’s get informed about coffee, coffee types and flavors. Cappuccino : Possibly the most popular type of coffee in the world, a cappuccino consists of three layers (kind of like a cake). The first is a shot of espresso, then a shot of steamed milk, and finally the barista adds a layer of frothed, foamy milk. This final layer can also be topped with chocolate shavings or powder. Traditionally, Italians would consume this type of coffee at breakfast. Espresso : To make an espresso, shoot boiling water under high pressure through finely ground up coffee beans and then pour into a tiny mug. Sounds simple right? Well, it’s surprisingly difficult to master. Espressos are the purest coffee experience you can get, and while they’re not for everyone, it can be a truly singular drinking experience when you find a good brew.

Two less common types are Liberica and Excelsa, which are rarely seen, especially in the United States. The former is grown exclusively in the Phillipines and is not imported at all into the States. On the other hand, the latter (which is often considered a genus of Liberica beans) only makes up about 7% of the world’s consumption and are grown in Southeast Asia.

Typica is your “typical” Arabica. It’s a variety that encompasses a number of the most popular and most sought after regional coffees including Kona, Java, Jamaican Blue Mountain, and more. This variety started in Yemen before being spread far and wide through trade. It first made it to Malabar India and Indonesia before eventually reaching the West Indies. Some subvarieties of Typica include Sumatra, Bergendal, Rume Sudan, Amarello de Botancatú, Blawan Paumah, and Java Mocha. Also, there are a number of Typica mutations, including Mokka*, Pluma Hidalgo, Creole, Ethiopian Harrar, Blue Mountain, Villa Sarchi, Ethiopian Sidamo, Ethiopian Yiragacheffe, San Ramón, and Sidikalang (just to name a few). Bourbon is probably one of the most common sub varieties of Typica. It got its start in the early 1700s when the French brought an Arabica Typica plat to the island of Bourbon (now Reunion). A slight mutation occurred and the variety eventually spread across Central and South America. These plants are popular because they produce more coffee cherries than other Typica varieties. Sub-varieties of Bourbon include French Mission, N39, Mayaguez, Arusha, Jackson, K20, Kenya Selected, and SL35 ; and Pointu, Semperlorens, Caturra, SL34, Tekic, and Pacas are mutations from this variety.

Lungo – Lungo is often confused with Americano, but it’s not at all the same. Lungo is a long shot prepared by extracting double the amount of water with same amount of coffee grounds. In figures, it means, 50 ml of water is extracted with 7 grams of coffee. This results in extraction of more caffeine, but with dissolved off-notes of coffee. It’s a less popular drink but it’s a preferred drink for people who demand more caffeine. Caffe Crema – An extra long espresso drink served in Northern Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. It has different flavor profile than related drinks like Lungo and Americano due to different extraction process. Rough brewing ratios of ristretto, normale, lungo, and caffè crema are 1:2:3:6 and the average water part per shot is 6 oz (180ml). Cafe Zorro – This is a double shot of espresso that is added to water in a 1:1 ratio. See more details on Coffee Shop.

Online chatting sites

Online chat has many benefits for your mental condition. Mental health is a serious problem within the American workplace. Each year about 43.6 million American adults suffer from a mental illness including depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). In addition, SAMHSA’s report found approximately 9.8 million adults experience “serious” mental illness, which can render them unable to work. Apart from productivity loss due to behavioral health issues, there is cost. Employers foot a major part of the medical tab for mental illness. One study found that mental disorders topped the list of most costly healthcare conditions, with spending at $201 billion. As far back as 2008, the National Institute of Mental Health found mental illness costs the US resulted in $193 billion in lost earnings annually.

How to be interesting in online chatting ? If the first principle of good conversation is to be genuinely interested, an important corollary is to be more interesting. Small talk is only as small as your reservoir of topics and experiences. Expand your store of anecdotes and opinions and you’ll expand your conversational possibilities. “Get out there and experience new things!” urges respondent Belinda Kwan. “You need to build your repertoire of interesting experiences (not only for the sake of having good conversations, but for the sake of enjoying your life).” Good advice on the topic exists if you’re not sure about how to go about becoming more interesting.

It’s notoriously difficult to interpret tone through the written or typed word, especially when sent through casual channels, such as social networking sites or instant messaging services. Since the written word lacks inflection, your message could be distorted by your writing style, which is why sarcasm and other humor devices are less effective through online communication. Having your message confused could cause problems between you and the recipient.

Raise morale, connect people, have talks with new people, chatting with strangers has many of benefits. One benefit of online chatting is the ability to meet new people in an online environment, such as chatting forums, while in the comforts of one’s home. While some people enjoy going out and meeting new people, others prefer to stay home and remain anonymous while talking with strangers. Online chatting gives people the opportunity to talk to strangers without sharing personal information, appearance or location.

Online chats are also a great marketing tool : Studies have shown time and time again that live chat helps to increase sales – and companies are reaping the benefits. It’s been shown that live chat can drive 3x – 5x more conversions and deliver up to 6000% ROI. The same report states that customers that use live chat are three times more likely to make purchases versus those who don’t. These numbers make one thing clear: live chat is effective in generating leads and making sales. Because live chat provides visitors with instant access to your support staff and sales team (and vice versa,) your team has many more opportunities to turn these visitors into paying clients or customers. Online chat can be a cure against depression caused by failed relations. If you don’t normally exercise, you should consider it after a heartbreak. If you exercise regularly, then continue exercising even after the heartbreak. Exercising is important after a heartbreak because it helps you release all the anger inside of you gotten from the heartbreak. Meeting new people will help you during your recovery from a heartbreak because it sort of helps rebuild your pride and confidence again. While you make new friends, it’s important you don’t jump into a relationship. It’s important you give yourself a break from relationships for at least three months.

Along with words and expectations, the attitude we bring to a confrontation is part of our communication style. One is accommodation, the willingness to bend and negotiate. When we adopt an accommodating style, we approach conflicts with a mind toward reconciliation. From that perspective, we’re willing to make sacrifices and negotiate trade-offs so that both partner’s needs are met. Typically, those who are accommodating treat their partner’s issues seriously, are more empathetic and try to understand their concerns, and more willing to admit when they’re at fault. They also approach conversations with an open mind. When we approach disagreements with an open mind, we’re not limited in our expectations as to the outcomes. We’re able to consider alternatives, and that includes our partner’s way of thinking, so we’re not as likely to launch into a counter-attack when our partner tells us they have a problem. tTalk to people today on Chat Rooms!

Due to the development of unhealthy eating habits, making poor nutritional decisions, our obsession with fat and sugar, and simply not getting enough vital nutrients, a lot of us are battling obesity. It is an epidemic that has quickly spread throughout the world over the past two decades. Many diseases are associated with obesity, such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. This is why it is important for us, while we still can, to take action and do something about our health. While it’s not just about the number on the weighing scale, there is a direct correlation between these diseases and the size of our waistlines.

At first glance, most people would not qualify Karate as a team sport. Nothing could be further from the truth. This individualized sport and activity has great team building characteristics that go beyond the regular team sports. Karate is trained on an individual level – every student individually learning the specific techniques taught. However, it is practiced within a group. A great deal of time is spent practicing basic techniques as a group. This is where great magic happens. The Karate instructor will not only challenge each student individually to perfect his or her technique but will also place great demands physically and mentally on the group as a whole. Many times the intensity and demand given by the instructor are so high and so challenging that an individual by him/herself would not be able to overcome. However, it is the group spirit , energy and camaraderie that has developed through persevering together through intense practice that will help the group to emerge as a strong team and overcome the demands. It is very common in military arts to push the individual so that those individuals emerge together as one unbreakable team. Karate as a military art is no different within this goal.

If you are looking to become more centered and flow through life with an increased appreciation for the world around you practicing martial arts can definitely help you. Many martial arts disciplines focus on the importance of being aware and in control of your breathing and provide a significant amount of attention to ridding your mind of unnecessary distractions in order to focus on the task at hand. This kind of philosophy is translatable to many different spheres of life and is often a major contributing factor to relieving stress.

Software development outsourcing

The internet changed completely the way we work and interact. Do you need a piece of software ? No need to create your own software development department, you can outsource the work!

What is outsourcing ? Put in simple words, outsourcing is the practice of obtaining goods and services from a foreign supplier. This is most commonly used in industries where there is either a shortage of labor for particular positions or where the cost of labor is too high. For example, software developers or designers. Outsourcing can be used for any position whatsoever, but today we see companies using it for non-fundamental roles, those whose function is to provide support to the central infrastructure of the company or aid in the day-to-day operations of the company.

Periods of high employee turnover can add uncertainty and inconsistency to a business. Outsourcing provides a level of continuity to the company while reducing the risk that a substandard level of operation could bring to the company. Example: Your human resource manager is on extended medical leave and her two administrative assistants are about to leave for new jobs in a short period of time. Outsourcing the human resource function would reduce risk and allow the company to keep operating while the manager is unavailable. It will give you ample time to make sure you hire the right new assistants.

Offshore outsourcing to a country like Bulgaria, which is on a different time zone, gives you the added advantage of making full use of your 24 hour day. Your outsourcing partner can take over and continue your work even after your employees go home. They can complete critical tasks and send it back for your review the next day. Outsourcing certain independent tasks, allows your business to maintain a financial flexibility when there is an uncertainty in demand. You can scale up or down comfortably. At a much lower cost, offshore outsourcing provides additional benefit of running your business in full throttle even during off season and holiday months.

Apart from the cost advantage, the other much touted benefit has to do with the time zone differential between your country and the location you are outsourcing to. Get your job done while you are closed for the day and wake up to your service being delivered the next morning. This unique advantage gives you the benefit of round-the-clock business operations. Make your service offerings better with high quality deliverables and decrease the lead time it takes for your product to reach the marketplace. Thus you would be faster in getting your ideas converted into products and better at delivering the value-added proposition.

Floating market in Bangkok and other attractions

Bangkok is an extraordinary place to see. We will talk about Bangkok attractions and especially the floating market Bangkok. The Wat Traimit temple in the Chinatown area is best known for it’s more than 3 meter (10 foot) high golden Buddha image weighing more than five tons. Cast in the Sukhothai style, the image is about 900 years old and was covered in plaster to hide its value. Only in 1957 it was discovered that the statue was pure gold, when the image was moved to a new building and slipped from a crane. The temple itself is said to date from the early 13th century.

History buffs in particular will want to devote at least half a sightseeing day to the national museum, if not more. Until the mid-1970s, this was Thailand’s only museum, which explains why its collection is so big. Fortunately, just about every exhibit is labeled in Thai and English and guided tours are also offered in English, so you won’t miss out on any of the country’s fascinating ancient and contemporary history. The old Wang Na Palace built by Rama I remains essentially as it was, and stands as a testament to Thai history. Visitors can see regalia, religious and ceremonial artifacts, ceramics, games, weaponry, musical instruments and the Viceroy’s throne, as well as an impressive collection of Buddha figures arranged according to period.

The complete advice book to coffee

Let’s get informed about coffee, coffee types and flavors. Cappuccino : Possibly the most popular type of coffee in the world, a cappuccino consists of three layers (kind of like a cake). The first is a shot of espresso, then a shot of steamed milk, and finally the barista adds a layer of frothed, foamy milk. This final layer can also be topped with chocolate shavings or powder. Espresso : To make an espresso, shoot boiling water under high pressure through finely ground up coffee beans and then pour into a tiny mug. Sounds simple right? Well, it’s surprisingly difficult to master. On the other hand, the latter (which is often considered a genus of Liberica beans) only makes up about 7% of the world’s consumption and are grown in Southeast Asia.

Next, the other very common type of coffee bean is Robusta. Rather than gaining its popularity through quality and depth of the brew, these plants are popular for for their high caffeine level and hardiness. While they do thrive in hotter climates and varied rainfall, Robusta beans are known for being able to put up with a much wider range of climates and altitudes. Also, they withstand diseases much better than other varieties. That resistance makes them better for growing in large crops. Higher quality robust tends to have a lower acidity and heavy body. These brews stand up better against things like cream and sugar, making them great for something like Vietnamese Coffee. And it works well in blends like Death Wish that are specifically curated for their caffeine kick.

Read more details on Coffee Shop.
